The Cutie is 9 months old as of yesterday! I cannot believe she has been alive for just about as long as I was pregnant with her. She is such a bundle of joy, but she refuses to be a little bundle anymore!
She is such a feisty baby! SHe is crawling all over, standing while holding onto her crib, her toys, and anything else she can get her hand on! She loves her toys and playing with all of them. She has this new found love for Nicky and still doesn't care about Sylvester. Poor cat. She wants to pat Nicky so bad, but she is still too rough with him. She just slaps him and pulls his fur.
Cailin is starting to grow out of some of her toys. her gym is just about a no go since she doesn't want to spend time laying down unless she is sleeping. She still likes her jumparoo and her exersaucer but they aren't as popular as they used to be.
She has three teeth and knows how to use them! She is a big fan of table foods now which she wasn't at all a couple of weeks ago. She has tried corned beef, potatoes, carrots, spaghetti and meatballs, bread with hummus or butter, and bananas. She isn;t a fan of anything cold so some fruits are out for now. Tonight she is going to try mac and cheese.
Yesterday, she had her 9 month check up. Cailin now weighs 18 lbs and 2 oz and is 29 inches long putting her in the 52nd percentile for weight and 90th for height. She only gained about a pound and a half since her last visit three months ago which isn't that much considering she used to gain a pound a month. The doctor said it wasn't anything to be concerned about since she is more mobile. She is drinking 8 o of formula at night and in the am then two other 6 oz bottles while she is at daycare. She also eats two solid meals a day ranging from table and finger foods to purees. I am starting to phase out the purees and give her more table foods. I think in a couple of weeks I will be adding another solid meal and will be taking away another bottle. She hates her sippy cups so I'm not quite ready to add in another solid meal just yet.
Cailin is still taking 2 naps a day: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. She is still sleeping through the night but occasionally wakes up to coo or find her binky, but I rarely have to go in.
I have just started planning her birthday party for mid-june. Hopefully some of her friends from daycare can come along with some family and close friends. It will be at the Belmont Spray Park. I cannot believe my precious baby will be a year old soon. Where does the time go?
