32 weeks pregnant, 8 weeks until my due date, and 5 weeks until I'm full term! Phew! So many countdowns!!
At 32 weeks I look (and feel) massive and yet I haven't gained much weight AND everything is measuring on target. I cannot imagine how big I would be if I had a big baby!! OMG!
My dr's appointment last Friday went well, no complications and everything is still going smoothly! I have been having more Braxton Hicks contractions but the dr said its normal for being this far along. I hope, for my sake, baby is ready and willing to come out around 37-38 weeks! That would be magical, only if she is ready and healthy tho! Once we have our baby shower I will be totally ready to have this baby and not be pregnant anymore. It is a lot more difficult that I thought, and I have had an easy pregnancy, I cannot imagine one with complications!
Little baby M has flipped and seems to like her new "head down" position! I can tell since she is constantly kicking me really high and the very low kicks have stopped. I thought she was going to remain breach even though the dr told me not to worry about it until 34 weeks. I luckily have not yet reached the point where she is kicking me in the ribs, but I am SURE that is soon to come! I cannot wait until she is born and we are parents!! It seems surreal to say that: parents. I will be a mommy and Dan will be a daddy. Every day that passes brings us closer to seeing our little princess!

April Vacation
April vacation has come and is just about gone. :( Cue the tears!!!
Oh well, I had a great time over the past week in Ohio and Ma!
I got to do a lot of cleaning and organizing while I was in MA (nesting) and got to visit my friend Betsy and her new babe Xavier in Ohio.
We had lots of fun and I definitely had tons of fun playing mommy!! (Although I was spoiled since Xavier was a PERFECT baby.) I now realize just how important keeping your infant on a schedule is. Xavier wakes up around 6:45, takes a bottle then has a quick nap, then smiles for a few hours has another bottle, takes a nap, and then smiles, bottle and stays up until its time for bed around 7 or 8. HE SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT?! I now have hope that I too will be able to have a night's sleep with an infant. I know this won't happen right away, but I can set a goal of having Baby M sleep through the night at 10 weeks!!! In all seriousness, the only time Xavier cried was when he was overtired at bedtime OR wanted to be fed. I can only hope to be half as lucky!!!
Me, Betsy, Xavier and Nick got to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and it was amazing!! I wish I could bring my 7th graders there while we are doing out rock and roll unit!
Not to mention they have a new, HUGE Grateful Dead exhibit and it was amazing. Needless to say I am currently sporting a brandy new tie dye shirt, thank you very much!! ;)
I will be back to add a bunch of pics later, my iphoto is being a jerk!!

9 weeks until my due date!!!!
I cannot believe it, the weeks I have left in this pregnancy are in the single digits! WOW! and that also means that there are 9 weeks of school left lol!
I have a sneaky suspicion that these next few weeks will fly by! Im leaving for Ohio in a few hours, then when I get back I have a few days left of April Vacation. Once I go back to school I've only got 8 weeks left! The kids haven't started counting yet, but I have. With that comes the scary realization that in 6 weeks, I will be full term!! AHHHH!
I need to set the record straight here, I am not scared of being a parent. Not at all actually. I have always been calm in stressful situations, and being a parent will have its stressful times I am positive of that. What I am nervous of is giving birth. No matter what route you choose, or how you give birth, it friggin hurts. I have never been good with pain. EVER. When I was 6 and my mom took me to get my ears pierced, I got one done and wouldnt let the lady pierce the other. I had to go back a few years later after I took the one out because it made me look like a boy, and got them both done again. (This is what makes me want to get Baby M's ears pierced when she is an infant. Yes, it will hurt and she will cry, but she won't remember or face the trauma of having it done when she realizes what is going on. Call me mean, but that is what works for me. You may think its a good idea to let your child choose to have it done and face the humiliation of screaming in a crowded mall with friends walking by and pointing at you... whatever floats your boat...)
So yea labor hurts. I know that, and I am going into this thing expecting that. I want an epidural, like right when I walk through the hospital door. I cannot be calm about anything while I am in physical pain, even a little. Knowing I will get an epidural somewhat eases my anxiety about birth but it still leaves me with so many questions: How long do I have to wait to get it done? Once I ask for one, how long will it take for the anesthesiologist to come to my room? Does the epidural hurt when its being inserted? Is there a button I can keep clicking to give me more pain meds? Can you leave my epidural in while my uterus contracts back to size after birth? What kids of other pains meds are available before I get my epidural? (yea, no dip, I know its through an IV, but what is it? Percocet? Morphine? Novacain or something similar?)
I digress.
Back to 31 weeks. So I will technically be 31 weeks tomorrow, but since I am leaving today I thought I would write this post now since I will have sever to write when I get back.
Baby M...
Size of Baby: Over 3.5 lbs
Gender: a princess girly girl!!!
Movement: More and more high kicks and less lower ones! She has ben a regular tap dancer this week! moving all the time and all over the place.
Sleep: What's that? I get up a couple times a night plus I have been sleeping very lightly. Any cat entering the room or Dan rolling over wakes me up, just prep for our little one!
What I Miss: sleeping on my stomach, being able to do a hardcore workout, sushi, wine, normal clothing!
Cravings: none right now
Symptoms: frequent bathroom breaks, more braxton hicks contractions, and sleeplessness. I seem to be getting morning sickness again on occasion...fun fun.
Milestones: 31 weeks pregnant! wow, just 9 more weeks to go!!!

Easter, 30 weeks Pregnant, and the upcoming April vacation
Easter 2012 came and went with some excitement along the way!
Sunday we left home and went to Dan's grandmother's house where we got together for a late brunch with his parents, grandparents, and Aunt's family. It's always a treat to see Martha, Pete and the kids since they live far away and we don't get to see them too often. Dan's mom made bacon, sausage, pancakes, homefries and other yummy breakfast goodies!! (I love breakfast sausage ;)) She also gave us a few gifts for the holiday as well: some candy, I got slippers, and we both got Dunkin Donuts gift cards!! (I will totally be getting a Medium Iced half regular half decaf Caramel Turtle with milk and sugar...its the closet thing to a Marylou's funky fanabala I have had since moving away form the South Shore). The baby got some little clip on bows!
Later we went to my dad's house where we met up with him and Auntie Barbara. Barbara is ALWAYS late for everything so me and Dan decided being slightly late would be ok. well, Brabra showed up early. WHAT? So then we were mega late LOL! There was a gift from Rhonda waiting for me and she got me 2 maternity shirts and a baby rattle for little baby M! Super cute!
My dad made our favorite meal: roast leg of lamb. YUM E! wow! It was delicious as always! Its one of my favorite meals of all time: roast leg of lamb with garlic cloves, roasted red potatoes, and brussel sprouts! we brought a vanilla cake with fruit on it and Brabra brought an Italian dessert platter with all sorts of little pastries on it! Everything was so good! Then my dad surprised me with a little yellow teddy bear for the baby too! (Baby M got way more for Easter than me and Dan combined!)
After leaving my dad's we went to pick up Ryan from his brother Jeff's house. We then braved the highways to drive back to Cambridge. BIG MISTAKE! ugh there was so much traffic it took us 2 hours to get home. BOO.
Overall we had a great Easter and got to visit with lots of family and ate lots of great food!
So today marks another BIG milestone... I am 30 weeks pregnant!! I have officially made it to the home stretch, 10 weeks to go!
My pregnancy has been relatively easy as far as pregnancies go... no complications but I am still so relieved to be this far along! I feel like I have been pregnant for an eternity and I am really happy to know that I have 10 weeks or less left!
I am seeing my OB every other week now and everything is still A-OK! Baby has a strong heartbeat and moves around a lot! I have a little ballerina or tap dancer just waiting to be born! We are still working on the nursery and won't really get too much done until after the baby shower which is coming up soon!
On another note, I leave for Ohio in 6 days to visit Betsy and her new little family!! I can't wait to be on vacation and get out of Massachusetts for a little while! Her little bundle is getting so big now I cannot wait to meet him!
Here is the 30 week rundown...
Size of Baby: Over 3 lbs

the countdown to baby M continues...11 weeks to go!
Today I am 29 weeks pregnant! I am so close to the 30 week mark I can taste it lol!
I had another OB appointment this afternoon and am happy to report that all is well with both me and baby M!
As usual baby M was moving around trying to avoid the doppler. She is so stubborn already! My weight gain is still within the normal range and is on target, my belly is measuring perfectly, baby's heartbeat is perfect, and I have no signs of pre-term labor. My glucose test last time was perfect, my glucose level was at 115 which was way below the 135 warning mark. My iron level was on the cusp of being low, but I think I generally have slightly low iron PLUS my Dr said most pregnant women have slightly low iron and it wasn't anything to be concerned about. We also had a little discussion about pain management, I told my Dr. how I am a total pain wimp and she asked me how I got my tattoo. Well had I known the one on my ankle would hurt like a mother AND need to be retouched 3 times I wouldn't have gotten it. Basically I want an epidural and as soon as I can't stand the pain anymore.
I have another appointment in 2 weeks, after I return from my Ohio excursion to visit Betsy!!WHAT?!?! Ohio in 2 weeks?
I have lots of things to look forward to... the 30 week milestone, visiting Ohio, only having single digit numbers left in weeks to count down to baby, and first Easter of course! (no need to mention April vacation and the time away from work and middle schoolers!)
29 Week Update:
Size of Baby: Almost 3 pounds and almost 17 inches long!!!! woah baby!!!
Gender: a princess girly girl!!!
Movement: Lots of kicks, some rolls, and some serious prods. OUCH! I am so lucky to have a healthy and active baby!
Sleep: What's that? I get up a couple times a night plus I have been sleeping very lightly. Any cat entering the room or Dan rolling over wakes me up.
What I Miss: sleeping on my stomach, being able to do a hardcore workout, sushi, wine, normal clothing!
Cravings: chicken alfredo from the olive garden
Symptoms: frequent bathroom breaks, hugh baby belly, some braxton hicks.
Milestones: Settling into the third trimester. can't wait to hit 30 weeks next week!!!!!!
