Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!! 2011 was a wonderful year and 2012 is shaping up to be just as amazing!!

Lets recap 2011!

I had a great time with the many friends I met at Longy over the two years I spent there!! We partied, studied, made some beautiful music, and made friendships that will surely last a lifetime!!

In January I was hired to teach voice lesson at Newton Music Academy in Needham. I am still teaching there and I love every minute of it! I love teaching private voice lessons and really enjoy this school! My students are so inspiring and energetic that I love coming to school every time!

April marked one of the best times of my life, my Master's Recital! I sang some amazing music and performed with great friends and fellow musicians. We all know that Samuel Barber's Knoxville, Summer of 1915 was my favorite piece of the evening. I can still listen to this song like I am hearing it for the first time. Its simply beautiful in every facet!

In May came graduation. This day marked the end of the best college days a girl could ask for. I met Kristine who would be my future bridesmaid among many other friends. I was introduced to some amazing mentors and professors who have left their impression on me forever. I am more than blessed to have been able to study with my wonderful voice teacher Anna! She helped me sing better than I ever could have imagined and taught me how to be a better musician.

The summer came really quickly and so began the wedding craziness!!! My bridesmaid Tracy and I made the centerpieces early on, and I am glad we did! The closer it got to the wedding the more I had to do. I am very glad that I kept organized and had a strict timeline that I stuck to!

My bridesmaids and mother in law threw me the best bridal shower ever! They made sure every detail was perfect! I was so surprised at the amount of gifts I got! Everyone was so generous!

SURPRISE, well sort of HAHA! That same night was my bachelorette party!!! Long before this date ever came a certain friend of mine accidentally leaked the info that my bachelorette party and bridal shower were on the same day. oops! I know this person did not mean to but either way it happened!! I knew when it was but I had no idea what or where we were going. I decided to be a good bride and pretend I had no idea that it was later that night so during the whole bridal shower I decided to act like I had no idea!! My act was going well until the end of the party when one of Dan's aunts who did not know it was a surprise blurted it out to everyone. I tried to pretend I didn't hear her but I couldn't hide it! Everyone knew that I knew, and I def knew at this point!!

Despite the lack of surprise, my bachelorette party was soooo much fun!! Tracy, KK, Caitlin, and Kathy rented a limo and decorated it with some really cool decorations, and we went to Boston! We started off with some celebratory wine, champagne, and cherry flavored vodka shots in the limo and headed to "the liquor store". We danced, drank, and had an amazing time!! After that we headed to fanueil hall. I still don't know what club we went to, but I remember having a great time! They had a live band on the 2nd floor and a really good dj on the first floor. Later in the evening was a bit of a blur but I knew we had fun and somehow the next day wasn't terrible!!

My parents in law hosted the rehearsal dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Run of the Mill Tavern. It was one of my mom's favorite places and we scattered her ashes right outside at Jenney Pond, so in some way she was there for the event. The food was great, the drinks were strong, and the company was A+!

I spent my last night as a single woman at the John Carver Inn in Plymouth with my bestie Sam!! We had so much fun! It was just like old times lol!

August 13 I married my best friend! We had the most PERFECT summer wedding! It was warm but not hot out at all, the weather was simply perfect. Sunny, breezy, and warm. We wrote our own vows, which I was a little hesitant about, but in the end I think it was one of the best choices we made. I really loved Dan's vows and I enjoyed writing mine. I loved getting married in my hometown and especially at Brewster Gardens. It was beautiful! I can't imagine picking a more perfect reception site either!! Everyone at Monponsett was helpful and supportive from the beginning. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reception site! The wedding coordinators were so nice, the bartenders were amazing, and the head waitress/coordinator for the wedding was really helpful and kind! NOT to mention my simply flawless bridal party and family!!

On October 12th our lives changed forever!! We found out that we are expecting our first baby!! It was the most exciting day of my life!! I was so surprised and happy I couldn't think straight! I am very lucky that my pregnancy had been easy so far! I had some minor morning sickness, a couple of headaches, and  one food aversion. The morning sickness was so minor I only had about 10 days of it total and the days that it happened were not consecutive and the "episodes" did not last more than an hour!! VERY LUCKY!!

8 weeks pregnant

Now I am safely in my second trimester, 15 weeks 6 days pregnant!! My baby bump is growing, and we are coming closer and closer to meeting our bundle of joy!! Me and Dan both think its a girl while our families think boy!! We will find out in January!!

2011 was more than amazing but 2012 is shaping up to be equally as monumental! We have Bobbie-Sue and Dennis's wedding in August, Tracy and Brett's wedding in December, and of course the arrival of Baby Moriarty in June!!
